Old Carpet Factory Recording Studio and Art Residency is located on Hydra Island in Greece. Since its founding in 2016 by producer Stephan Colloredo-Mansfeld, the studio has gained international acclaim for its unconventional setting in a remote location, an extensive list of cult vintage and rare analog gear. Art Residency at the Old Carpet Factory founded by curator, researcher and photographer Ekaterina Juskowski in 2019 is a highly selective program with the mission to record and preserve Hydra’s cultural heritage, to support new creative ideas, and to expand access to the unique cultural setting of the island and its community.
Mnemosyne Projects is a non-profit curatorial platform and international cultural think tank dedicated to conservation and artistic representation of authentic sites of memory. Founded on the Greek island of Hydra and inspired by its unique intercultural artistic heritage, Mnemosyne Projects uses cross-cultural research, artistic interpretation, interdisciplinary curation and strategic partnerships to record and archive hybrid cultural phenomena that hold historical significance in the creative heritage of communities.
Hydra Book Club presents and sells a thoroughly researched anthology of literary work by the community of Greek and international writers present on Hydra from the 1930s to the present, and we explore an annual theme through research, presentation of new literary work, readings and events. HBC edits and publishes the Journal of the Hydra Book Club, an annual printed edition of over 175 pages of fiction, poetry, essay, and image which includes contributions from prominent writers, artists, curators, critics, and philosophers. Beyond its publications, the Hydra Book Club plays an active role in global literary culture by publishing literature, literature in translation, artist books, and limited edition artist zines and organizing literary events worldwide.
